If I have to choose one favorite piece of mine for the current season, it would be this midi dress. The earthy tones, the length, the cut… They are just perfect. But bear in mind that these kinds of clothes can look unflattering on you, so you may have to belt them. I styled mine with a leather jacket and black loafers. This is certainly my ideal look for fall, balancing between comfort and chic. I wear it basically everywhere – at university, at the theater, on walks.
We choose the park “Vrana” as a photoshoot location. I thought it perfectly reflects the nature of the dress. The day we took the pictures there was a wedding and they were pulling out the flowers and the glasses of champagne, and the weather was just right!
Royal Palace “Vrana”
As you may guess by the title, this is not just an ordinary park. It was intended for the royal family of Bulgaria as an out-of-town summer residence. The mansion was created in a place where the Ottoman farmstead “Chardakliya” was previously located. Ferdinand I of Bulgaria had a great passion for birds. He decided to name the place after the first bird that landed on the roof. So a flock of crows landed there and he named the residence “Vrana” (which in Bulgarian means “crow”).
Although it is quite far away from the center of Sofia, this place has a particular, even royal, atmosphere. It’s open only during the weekends (and on some national holidays) from 10:00 to 16:00 o’clock. This is a lovely idea for a city-scape without going far away from the city itself. The entry fee is 5 leva, but totally worth the experience.
How would you describe the perfect autumnal weekend?
