DIY: Christmas Cards

DSC_0229-horzWelcome people! There are only 2 days left till Christmas! Perhaps most of you have already prepared gifts for your loving ones and are wondering what kind of cards to add so as to spice up your presents. I have a couple of ideas on how to make easy, not expensive, however, very gorgeous holiday cards. Good luck!

  • Christmas Bauble Card
This one is quite simple – you choose 3 or more of your favourite holiday wrapping paper, cut circles (could be in various shapes as well) and stick them onto a cardboard (I used light blue). You can draw some strings as well.

  • Holiday Tree Card
Firstly, draw a Christmas tree that is completely the same on both sides because we are going to cut it in the middle. Then fold in two and cut the cardboard the way I’ve shown in the pictures. After that fold at the three ends of the tree. Stick every part of the cardboard to another cardboard (diffeerent colour is advisable) except the actual tree. Now you can put/draw any decoration you want.

  • Snowman Card
Draw two different sizes of circles on a pice of white paper. Cut them and glue them to the cardboard which you’ll be using for your card. Draw a smile, a nose, buttons (as you can see, I added blue beads instead of drawing them). For the scarf – I cut some ribbon and made it look like a scarf.

  • Holiday Dress Card
This is the card I gave to my fashion design teacher and she really liked it!
I used red wrapping paper, drew the skirt and the top, and sticked them to a green cardboard. Then I added a little bit of ribbon in the middle to make the dress look more life-like. I put some Christmas washi tape on the left. In order to make it look a little more festive, I added these sparkly jewels/beads. It’s pretty, isn’t it?
